Collages

One of my favorite things to do with a photo shoot is put together a collage of the best pics. The final print looks like a matted set of images once it is framed; but without all the work! Hanging in your living room, it's a great way to show off your little one!

Our Family Photos

Just got back from Miami where we had a great vacation! While there, I hooked up with a great photographer, Terri Lynn of My Sealed Memories Photography, who did some amazing family photos of us! There are far too many good shots to post them all, but here are a few of my favorites. Thank you again Terri!

Back to Work!

I'm happy to say that I am back to work! While my schedule will no longer be quite as flexible as it has in years past, I think most families will find my work hours quite acceptable. I have set aside a few weekends each month for photography sessions, so shoot me an email if there's a weekend you have in mind for a shoot.

Speaking of shoots, I had the pleasure of doing one family's newborn photos of their daughter a few weekends ago. As with all my shoots, I did this session on location in my clients' home. Some clients worry about how their house will look for a photo shoot and if it will be acceptable or not. Let me remind you that with my style of photography; I focus on the subject, not the background. I know how to position your child so as to draw attention to their beautiful features, and not the decor in the background. Lighting and camera settings are important too and I juggle all of these aspects to create beautiful portraits for you to cherish. We did this entire photo shoot on the clients' couch in their living room, and as you can see, their little girl is just as precious as she can be!

Lyv Autumn came into the world on 08/08/10 weighing 6lbs, 13oz. Thank you everyone for your support during this time. My maternity leave will last until January 2011.

Almost there!

As we near the end of July, and August is just around the corner, my husband and I are anticipating the birth of our first in just a few more weeks. I'm almost 34 weeks, and I won't go past 39 weeks (due to medical issues), so that means just 3-5 more weeks of pregnancy before we meet our little one (assuming she doesn't come before she's supposed to).

Maternity Leave

For those of you that have not heard the news.... I am pregnant! We are expecting our little girl in mid-late August. While my husband and I are nervous about this new journey we will begin in life, we are also very excited. So far everything has gone well in the pregnancy.

Unfortunately for my clients this means I will be taking an extended time off. I will not be doing any shoots beginning in July 2010 and going through the end of the year. I will ease back into things starting in January 2011. I already have enough shoots to fill up my time between now and July, so I will not be taking any more appointments. However, if you need assistance with ordering more pictures from a previous shoot, or have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to email me! Thanks!

Infant Portraits

Last week I had the opportunity to do some portraits of a 2.5 week old. What a cute little man! We did the photos mostly in his nursery at home, as well as a few outside. I always consider it a privilege to do the first photo shoot when Mom and Dad bring home their new addition. Check out these cute pics:
